A wedding photographer has started filming the sequel to his successful zombie movie.

Chris Greenwood, 28, originally from Haslingden, has started work on the comedy zombie movie, 'Zombie Women of Satan 2'.

The owner of wedding photography company, Chocolate Chip Photography, was approached in 2012 and asked to produce the sequel after his first film became popular at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009.

The film is being produced on a low budget of £8,000 but is expected to star a well known lead cast including Big Brother 7 winner, Pete Bennett and the brother of Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding, Mike Fielding.

Chris used to live on Rydal Road in Haslingden and attended Broadway Primary and Haslingden High Schools before moving to Sunderland for university.

However his parents and grandparents still live in the Valley.

He said the first movie in the series was a massive global success.

He added: “With this film I wanted to do something different. We've injected more comedy, created some unbelievable characters and hopefully it will be an even bigger success than the first film.”

Interest has again been shown by the Cannes Film Festival and the film has already been listed as number 30 of the most anticipated zombie films from around the world.
