Three men from Accrington have been arrested as part of a drugs and firearm investigation.
Police raided addresses in Portland Street, Willows Lane and Persia Street after warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Wednesday, November 13.
A 29-year-old man from Accrington has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possession of a firearm.
A 32-year-old man from Accrington has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply.
A 37-year-old man has also been produced from HMP Forest Bank on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
The arrests come as part of an investigation into the supply of drugs in the Accrington area.
Officers have worked with West Yorkshire Police who have also arrested a further four men on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Detective Inspector Mark Winstanley, of Lancashire CID, said: “We are determined to continue the fight against drug dealers in the Accrington area and this morning’s raids are part of our on-going commitment to tackling that.
“Local residents have raised concerns about drug dealing in Accrington and we have listened to those concerns.
“The activities of drug dealers can have a dramatic effect on our communities. They can ruin lives, fuel other crime, and can instil fear in our neighbourhoods so we are taking a tough approach.”
