Soldiers serving in Afghanistan have sent Christmas messages to their loved ones.

Soldiers serving in Afghanistan have sent Christmas messages to their loved ones.

Guardsman Sam Gray, Corporal Ben Simpson and Kingsman Kythe Rowbotham have sent special messages with photos from the front line to family and friends in the run-up to Christmas.

Guardsman Gray, of Accrington, is working at Forward Operating Base Ouellette, Afghanistan.

He said: “Hello everyone, just sending you message to say have a great Christmas and New Year.

“I will see you in January.”

Clayton-le-Moors resident Corporal Simpson is currently serving in Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan and said: “Merry Christmas Harrison. Love, Dad.”

And Kingsman Rowbotham, of Accrington, is serving on Forward Operating Base, Attal, with the 1st Lancashire Regiment.

He said: “Merry Christmas to all my family back home and to my girlfriend Chelsey.”
