Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a silver car that caused a cyclist to fall off her bike and suffer serious injuries.

The woman suffered a broken arm and nose, broken teeth and cuts and abrasions after she was forced into the kerb by a car overtaking her on the A678 Burnley Road at Altham.

She was approaching the Walton Arms travelling in the direction of Padiham when the incident occured at around 10am on Monday, May 9.
