THE RESULTS of the local council elections ...

CONSERVATIVES have retained control of Hyndburn Council following yesterday's elections.

The Tories won eight of the 12 seats up for grabs, with Labour taking the other four. The make up of the council now stands at 20 seats for the Conservatives and 15 for Labour.
