John O'Sullivan has told Stanley fans his best is yet to come after extending his loan with the Reds.

The 21-year-old winger was John Coleman's first signing after his return as Stanley manager last month, arriving on loan from Blackburn.

The Irish youngster made a dream debut , scoring twice in the 5-4 win at Northampton, and has continued to impress in five games for the Reds.

But O'Sullivan now aims to do even better after agreeing to spend another two months at the Store First Stadium.

“I'm really pleased,” said the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international.

“I spoke to Gary Bowyer (Blackburn manager) just the other day and told him that it’s important to get league experience as a young player at a club like Accrington.

“I feel I am learning with every game.  I know I burst onto the scene at Northampton and then everyone expects you to do the same in every game but it does take time to settle in.

“I said  that I wanted to stay longer than a month and thankfully Blackburn have agreed. I am enjoying the experience and I don’t think anyone has seen the best of me yet.”
