ACCRINGTON’S annual 10k race takes place later this month - the 22nd running of the event.
It is a popular race for locals who want to test themselves over the 6.2 mile course. This year’s run takes place on Sunday 26 Ocotber at 10am.
It starts outside the Whitakers Arms pub but registration is from 8.30am at Highams Playing fields.
The course takes in Accrington, Huncoat, Altham, Clayon-le-Moors and finishes at Highams.
It is open to adult runners of all levels of ability.
Entries are accepted on the day but, for anyone wanting to enter early, contact Gerry Bunn on 01282 771502. The cost is £6 for UK club members and £8 for unattached runners with an extra £1.50 on the day.
