THE Challoner family were celebrating after striking double gold at the Pendle Open Groundfighting competition.
Brother and sister Matthew and Lucy Challoner were part of a group of students from Kuon Ji Ju-Jitsu Association in Oswaldtwistle who took part in the event.
The competition was for both juniors and seniors - the juniors fought to 'hold down' rules while the seniors fought to full submission rules.
Jon Linaker also celebrated a double haul with two gold medals after entering two categories - the 16-18 Year Open and the Men's Under 85 kg.
And a mother and son made it another family affair with Anne Mazzolai winning the Women's category and son Daniel came away with a silver medal in his event.
Former Great Britain International and Head Coach at Kuon Ji, Max Robinson, won gold in the Men's Open weight category. Max said: "Although the backbone of the team had plenty of competition experience, many of the members were making their debut on the open competition circuit and to come away with a medal haul like this was absolutely superb.
"There were some excellent bouts to watch but high praise must go to Lucy Challoner - whose opponents were all bigger than her - and Jon Linaker whose final to win the 16-18 Year Open category was a hard bout which went to the wire.
"He was up against a much bigger opponent but used his experience and training to eventually overpower his opponent in the final minute."
